CORRETTO – Ammazzacaffè.

My recent studies on the history of magic led me to the creation of 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘰.

𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘰 is a refined reinterpretation of the ancient Assassin’s Teapot, a ceramic vessel originally designed in China during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) to discreetly serve poisons at social gatherings. This intriguing object later inspired numerous illusionists throughout history, as well as stage magic performances, including those by Jean Eugène
Robert-Houdin (𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦), David Devant (𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘒𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦), and Charles Hoffman (𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘬 - 𝘈𝘯𝘺 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘍𝘰𝘳).

Reversing the original narrative of power and deception, 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘰 transforms it into a symbol of pleasure and conviviality. It bridges the concept of the Assassin’s Teapot with the Italian tradition of an “ammazzacaffè.” (literally translated as “coffee killer”) which consists of following one’s coffee at the end of a meal with a liqueur.

Blending functionality with mystery, 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘰 features a dual-chamber design that allows two different liquids to be poured seamlessly from a single spout.
This enables the serving of both “caffè corretto” (coffee with a drop of liquor) and “caffè macchiato” (coffee with a small amount of milk).
A hidden compartment within the handle conceals a silk handkerchief with instructions - a tribute to the world of magic and illusion that inspired the project.
